Lo stato dell'unione

Lo stato dell'unione - Tullio Avoledo Avoledo is a novelist who deserves to be known better by the Italian audience.

This book has a decent plot and it's well crafted, but what I've appreciated most is the way it satirizes in a very clever way some political figures of northeastern Italy who pretends to have Celtic roots (!) instead of Roman.

Probably this aspect is quite difficult to catch in all its absurdity by people from abroad and yet I can grant you that Avoledo has done a very good job in taking his peculiarities.
